FC København are two points clear at the top of Group D before facing FC Barcelona at the 3rd day. The Catalans have never lost against the Danes.
FC Barcelona will test the ability of FC København to remain leader of Group D at the 3rd day. A victory would allow the Catalans doubled their Danish visitors.
• Barcelona began on wheel cover with a brilliant Lionel Messi in a 5-1 success at Panathinaikos FC on Matchday 1. The Argentine scored two goals and had two assists while men Josep Guardiola had been led to the score.
• During the second day, Barça fell on her black cat, FC Rubin Kazan, who had already taken four points last season. A penalty from David Villa in the second period allowed the Blaugrana back with a 1-1 draw in Russia.
• Copenhagen began its second season of UEFA Champions League by winning 1-0 at home on Rubin. The Danes, however, waited three minutes from time that Dame N'Doye trademark of the head.
• N'Doye was in the net again two weeks later against Panathinaikos, where he spent the 2007/08 season. He gave the advantage to FCK in the 28th minute before Martin doubled the Vingaard mark free kick nine minutes later.
European history• In six European matches against the Danes, Barca got five wins and a draw.
• By contrast, in six games against the Spaniards, Copenhagen has recorded three defeats and three draws.

• The FCK qualified for the group stage by eliminating the Rosenborg BK in the dam. After a 2-1 loss to Norway, they needed 1-0 at Parken Stadion. In the third qualifying round, they got a 0-0 draw in the field of FC BATE Borisov and won 3-2 in the Danish capital.
